Area lawmakers to hold town hall meetings on Wednesday | News, Sports, Jobs



MARSHALL — Area residents will have the opportunity to speak with state lawmakers next week in a series of joint meetings. State Sen. Gary Dahms, R-Redwood Falls, and Rep. Chris Swedzinski, R-Ghent, encourage the public to attend.

“These meetings are an opportunity for voters to receive an update on the recently concluded legislative session and to ask questions,” said Dahms.

A total of five meetings with the public will take place on Wednesday, June 15. Dahms and Swedzinski will begin with a 7:30 a.m. meeting at the MERIT Center in Marshall, then move on to Canby, Madison, Dawson and Granite Falls. .

“We look forward to visiting our constituents,” said Swedzinski.

The schedule for town meetings is as follows:

Marshall — 7:30 a.m., MERIT Center, 1001 West Erie Road

Canby — 9:30 a.m., City Hall Council Chambers, 110 Oscar Avenue North

Madison – 11:30 a.m., City Hall Auditorium, 404 Sixth Avenue

Dawson — 1:30 p.m., City Building, 675 Chestnut Street

Granite Falls — 3:30 p.m., City Hall Council Chambers, 641 Prentice St.
