Early voting begins for many municipalities in our region :: WRAL.com

Early voting begins Thursday for the municipal elections on November 2.

Twenty counties in the WRAL Observation Zone have local leaders running for office, including mayor and city or town council. Wake County municipalities holding an election next month include Angier, Apex, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Morrisville, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell and Zebulon.

Raleigh and Cary municipal elections are postponed due to a delayed release of census data. Cary will hold primary elections in March and Raleigh’s election has been postponed to November 2022.

In Durham, voters will see two names on the ballot for the mayor, Councilor Javiera Caballero and retired judge Elaine O’Neal. However, only O’Neal is in the race, after Caballero suspended his campaign on Monday.
