EFF confident of reaching Northwestern municipalities – SABC News

The leader of the Fighters for Economic Freedom, Julius Malema, says he is confident that the party will reach some municipalities in the Northwest.

Speaking during his campaign at Sunrise Park in Rustenburg, Malema said the party had gained valuable administrative experience in local government since the 2016 local elections.

The Rustenburg region, which still suffers from water, housing and electricity shortages, has been one of the party’s strongholds.

Malema says that if they are elected to power, they will revive struggling municipalities in the Northwest.

“Remember that in 2016 we did not have leadership experience, especially with regard to the local municipality. We are now in a much better position and that is why our people in the Northwest are calling for the EFF everywhere and that is what we are going to do.
