VALDOSTA – “Homerun to Health” is a health and benefits fair for city employees organized by the human resources department of the city of Valdosta.

Release:

On Wednesday, April 27, the City of Valdosta Human Resources Department held its health and benefits fair for city employees titled “Homerun to Health” at the City of Mathis Auditorium. The purpose of the fair is to provide service and support to city employees and many baseball-themed vendors and employees. “Our employees work hard year-round to take care of our citizens. This is an opportunity to focus on the health and well-being of our employees,” said Jennie Boyer, Senior Director of Human Resources for the City of Valdosta. Every year, the Human Resources Department of the City of Valdosta organizes an employee health fair at the Mathis Auditorium. The event hosts health and wellness vendors, raffles and a free lunch for all employees.

This event connects city employees with businesses and resources to help them on their wellness journey. “Local businesses can benefit our employees by presenting their services directly to them,” Boyer said. Lunch for staff and volunteers was provided by Taylor Insurance. Suppliers included organizations and companies in insurance, public health, non-profit banking and many others.
