Maharashtra CM Shinde to inaugurate Mumbai Metropolitan @2034 Infra Summit today


Mumbai Metropolitan Region @ 2034, a special summit to discuss and deliberate on improving the basic infrastructure of the country’s financial capital, Mumbai, as well as the surrounding MMR region, will be held in the city on Saturday.

Experts from various ministries and the private sector involved in quality infrastructure development will gather for a one-day summit hosted by Mumbai South Central MP Rahul Shewale and Kalyan MP Dr Shrikant Shinde with Construction Times to discuss of Mumbai’s future development plan.

The summit will be opened by Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde and PWD Minister Ravindra Chavan. They will present a white paper highlighting expert suggestions on improving the basic facilities provided to the people.

The summit will consist of several sessions which will tackle various topics such as slum-free redevelopment of Mumbai – Dharavi, road transport, waterlogging and real estate and will have deliberations to come up with a list of concrete solutions.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Global Solution Summit 2022 is recognized by prominent entities such as Mumbai Metropolitan Region Authority (MMRDA), Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) and Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). Senior officials from these ministries will also present their plans at the summit.
