In light of the current rise in the number of COVID-19 cases, Midland Daily News is hosting a virtual COVID-19 town hall for the public over Zoom on Thursday, January 20 from 7-8 p.m., featuring two local medical officials.

WCMU Public Radio News Director Amy Robinson will moderate the meeting, and the two panelists will be Dr. Catherine Bodnar, Medical Director of the Midland County Department of Public Health; and Richard Bates, MD, regional vice president of medical affairs for MyMichigan Health.

Robinson will provide an update on the current state of COVID locally and statewide, and pose questions, including those submitted by the public, to Dr. Bodnar and Dr. Bates.

Readers can submit questions for the Town Hall to Acting Editor Dan Chalk at [email protected]

A Zoom link to tune into the Town Hall meeting will be announced on ourmidland.com and in an upcoming print edition of the Midland Daily News.

The Daily News previously held similar virtual meetings in November 2020 and December 2020.
