With the holiday season here, the Municipality of Ray Nkonyeni (RNM) and Ugu South Coast Tourism hosted the Mayor’s annual welcome in Hibberdene on Wednesday this week.
As holidaymakers from across the country made their way to the south coast, RNM law enforcement officials erected a roadblock on the Hibberdene turnoff just off the N2, giving them a nice ride. sunny welcome to the south coast and a gift bag with summer essentials.
Although the RNM has yet to announce a mayor, speaker Zodwa Mzindle was on hand to greet tourists.
“We love welcoming our tourists this time of year, and we want to make sure they have an amazing experience and enjoy their stay. We would like to advise them to stay safe with the impending fourth wave of Covid-19, to listen to all those responsible on the beaches, to avoid drinking in public, but above all to enjoy their stay, ”Mzindle said.

Other attendees included the HOD for Strategic Planning and Governance of the RNM, Siyabonga Zama, who was more than excited to start the summer.
“Our tourists must have fun and feel the warmth of KZN paradise. Be safe and avoid overcrowded areas, and if our visitors need information, they can visit one of our information bars in our shopping malls and on our waterfronts ”.
