Speaking on Kumasi-based Pure FM, President Akufo-Addo said it would not be fair to make Sam Pyne a victim of the past.

“I don’t see how they are going to prevent Kumasi from having a suitable framework because of the past. I don’t think it’s fair. This is not the way to proceed, ”President Akufo-Addo said.

“This will be the right way to go. If they feel that it deserves to be confirmed, that it makes it clear to them that its number one point on the agenda will be to know how to arrange with the government to repay the debt, ”he said. -he adds.

So far, around five MMDCE candidates have been rejected in various metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies (MMDAs) across the country.

Despite the refusals, President Akufo-Addo said that the election of MMDCE remains his best choice for democracy.
