Shivdi Metropolitan Court grants bail to 3 MNS workers, who were arrested for assaulting an elderly woman

Mumbai: Nagpada police on Friday granted bail to three MNS employees, who were arrested after a video went viral on social media in which an elderly woman was assaulted.
The three arrested defendants Vinod Argyle, Raju Argyle and Sandeep Lad were released on bail on a Rs 15,000 bond from the Shivdi Metropolitan Magistrate Court. The three MNS workers were arrested on Thursday and the police had registered a case under Sections 323 337 506 504 509 of Section 7 of the IPC Penal Code.
Prakash Devi, the victim, told the media: “They slapped and hit me. Yes, I did (I was asked if she had filed a complaint). The police are investigating. They wanted to put up a banner outside my store i refused and said let them put it somewhere else so they hit me…no woman should go through this.”
Earlier on Thursday, in a shocking incident, a man was seen pushing and hitting a woman in the Kamathipura area of ​​Mumbai.
The incident came to light when a video went viral on August 28. The fight started over the erection of bamboo poles in front of the woman’s shop without her consent.
“An unacknowledged offense has been filed at Nagpada Police Station,” Mumbai Police said.
The man and woman can be seen hurling insults at each other as locals and passers-by watched the fight.
The man could be seen repeatedly slapping and pushing the woman who appears to be crying and jostling every time she is pushed.
“Do what you want to do, bring whoever you want,” the man is heard saying in the video.
Later, another man arrives on the scene and is seen chasing her away as the woman appeared to be crying. (ANI)
